The Freedom School of Painting began as a program of private art classes for practising and aspiring artists seeking to benefit from the extensive experience and success of multi award winning, internationally exhibited artist David Giles. As participants gained success in exhibiting and winning awards it grew to become a highly coveted professional development and mentoring program with seven award winning artists now in the program. The 2011 Professional Development Program will culminate in a major exhibition at the Moores Building Contemporary Art Gallery in Fremantle.

Join multi award winning artist David Giles for the Freedom School of Painting, 2012 Peer Studio Professional Development Program. The program is suitable for those with some painting experience, seeking to develop their artistic career. An artist of sixteen years standing and a veteran of thirty six solo exhibitions, Giles has won twenty art awards and has shown in New York, Singapore, Sydney and Melbourne.

The 2012 Professional Development Program. will run over four terms during 2012. Each term will include eight weeks of studio practice as a group, including demonstrations, discussions and weekly peer reviews. The group studio practice will take place at the David Giles Art Studios fremantle Studio, 49 High St Fremantle. Times Friday 10-1 or 1.30-4.30pm or Saturday 10am -1pm or Saturday 1.30pm -4.30pm. Term 1 fully booked. Expressions of interest are invited for term 2

Fees per term $250.

On completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate of participation and a $250 voucher for each term of particpation that can be used for up to 2/3 off the price of any original David Giles painting.
